The Band-Aid Solution

Many medications for pain are prescribed as what’s called “a band-aid solution”. Meaning the band aid only addresses the symptom of pain but not the cause. And if the cause of illness or pain never gets addressed (becomes chronic), big Pharma has made a customer for life. This is where the infinite spiral comes in, because the end isn’t necessarily in sight. Long term effects on the body aren’t clear. The brightly colored shiny sprinkles are meant to have a femme fatale vibe. They’re supposed to be attractive and appealing, so inviting it’s scary. Because the idea of being more physically functional momentarily is like a dream, but there will be long term effects on the body after consuming such a quantity of “sugar" in time. Sugar is a man made substance that can be slightly addictive, it also poses very harmful effects on the body long term when consumed frequently. The rope is symbolic of physical dependency. It’s a lot easier to scale down the tunnel then it will be to climb back up. The flashing light that interacts with the sound of people’s voices is supposed to grab attention. The flashing is both alluring like a nightclub but also alarming like an ambulance siren. Is it a warning or is it fun? The sound I will be playing will also play into the sense of alarm. The busted concrete is symbolic of manmade decay or wreckage.
